CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday distributed appointment letters to 3,567 candidates selected for teaching and administrative posts in aided secondary schools across the state. The appointments include 319 principals, 258 headmasters, 618 postgraduate teachers and 2,372 trained graduate teachers.
Addressing the newly appointed teachers at an event in Lucknow, Adityanath said the role of a teacher extends beyond employment and involves guiding students and contributing to the development of society. He said teachers would play an important role in preparing the generation that will lead India towards the 2047 national goal.
The Chief Minister said teachers should help students understand subjects beyond the prescribed curriculum, including the lives of prominent personalities and important developments in India and the world. He also stressed the importance of creating a positive learning environment in schools.
Adityanath said the government was working to improve school infrastructure through initiatives including smart classrooms, digital libraries, laboratories and Atal Tinkering Labs. He also directed the state education authorities to examine issues faced by young people seeking opportunities in teaching examinations.
The Chief Minister further warned that anyone demanding money from newly appointed teachers or school officials in connection with joining would face strict action.
The appointment-letter distribution was organised under the state government's Mission Rozgar programme and followed selections conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission.
