CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Lucknow. On the occasion of Maha Navami during Sharadiya Navratri, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath extended greetings to the people of the state and referred to changes in the fields of employment, investment, industry and women’s empowerment. On the occasion of worship of Maa Siddhidatri, he presented a picture of a new Uttar Pradesh moving from “sankalp” to “siddhi” and said the government was moving ahead towards achieving the goal of “Developed India-Developed Uttar Pradesh”.

Claim of change after 2017: In a message shared on social media, the Chief Minister said that before 2017, the state faced challenges related to law and order and development. According to him, the present government has tried to create a favourable environment for investment and development in the state by emphasising a zero-tolerance policy towards crime and the rule of law. These achievements are based on government figures and claims presented by the Chief Minister.

Emphasis on investment and employment: According to Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh has received investment proposals worth more than Rs 50 lakh crore. As per his claim, the number of large factories has increased from about 14,000 to 35,000, and more than 65 lakh youths have received employment through investment. The Chief Minister also said that more than 9.5 lakh government jobs have been provided under a transparent recruitment process. He also claimed that the number of startups in the state has increased from 120 to more than 24,000, and that the expansion of the micro, small and medium enterprises sector has created more than three crore employment opportunities.

Focus on women’s empowerment and infrastructure: The Chief Minister described women’s safety, dignity and self-reliance as among the government’s priorities. He said women’s participation in the state’s labour force has increased. Along with this, he also presented the expressway network, agricultural development and the defence industrial corridor as important parts of the state’s development journey. The real impact of the figures cited by the government can be assessed on the basis of the quality of employment, the implementation of investment proposals on the ground, and the experiences of people benefiting from the schemes.
