Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday took part in the BJP’s “Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy” foot march at Rajnagar Extension in Ghaziabad. Before the march, he addressed a public meeting and targeted the Congress and the INDI alliance. The Chief Minister alleged that opposition parties were trying to destabilise the democratic system and spread disorder in the country.

Yogi Adityanath said democracy is based on the people’s trust, constitutional propriety and respect for the mandate. He claimed that the people are repeatedly rejecting the Congress and its allied parties. Referring to the Congress’s previous rule, he also levelled allegations of corruption.

The Chief Minister said the objective of the foot march was to take the message of protecting democracy, respecting constitutional propriety and upholding the supremacy of the mandate to the people. He appealed to BJP workers to play an active role in strengthening democratic values.

BJP workers from various districts of western Uttar Pradesh joined the programme held at Rajnagar Extension. Through the foot march, the party sought to take its message to the people amid upcoming political activities.
