Yogi Launches Major GIDA Development Projects
CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath participated in a special event in Gorakhpur to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for multiple development projects in the Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority (GIDA) area. The projects, valued at approximately ₹208 crore, include a modern Flatted Factory Complex and residential housing facilities for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and Low-Income Group (LIG) families.
The Flatted Factory Complex is expected to provide a significant boost to industrial growth by offering modern infrastructure and affordable workspace for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The initiative aims to encourage entrepreneurship, generate employment opportunities, and attract new investments to the region. The EWS and LIG housing projects have been designed to provide affordable and quality living facilities for economically disadvantaged sections of society.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister highlighted the state's commitment to industrialization, urban development, and inclusive growth. He noted that improved infrastructure and industrial facilities are essential for strengthening the local economy and creating sustainable livelihoods for residents.
The projects are expected to enhance Gorakhpur's industrial ecosystem while improving housing accessibility for lower-income groups. The development initiatives reflect the Uttar Pradesh government's focus on balanced regional growth, investment promotion, and improving the quality of life for citizens through modern infrastructure and planned urban development.
