CNN Central News & Networks / ITDC India ePress / ITDC News /Agencies/ Bhopal: CNN Central News and Networks / ITDC India Epress / ITDC News / Agencies: Gorakhpur. During the ‘Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy’ padyatra in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and BJP national president Nitin Naveen launched sharp political attacks on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Both leaders targeted the Congress leadership and the role of the opposition, raising questions about the party.
Taking a dig at Rahul Gandhi, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said he has now completely “fizzled out” and that his smoke has already gone out. Yogi accused the Congress and the opposition alliance of indulging in the politics of anarchy after electoral defeat. He said respecting the mandate is a basic responsibility in a democratic system, but instead of accepting its defeat, the opposition is questioning the system.
BJP president Nitin Naveen also targeted Rahul Gandhi. He said repeated attempts are being made to launch Rahul Gandhi, but his launching pad itself is faulty, which produces such a leader. Questioning the Congress leadership, Naveen criticised the party’s political direction and style of functioning.
The remarks came during a programme held in Gorakhpur as part of the BJP’s statewide ‘Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy’ padyatra. The participation of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Nitin Naveen in this campaign is being seen in connection with the party’s public outreach and organisational activities ahead of the upcoming 2027 Assembly elections.
