CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a sharp attack on Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, accusing him of making statements that could tarnish the image of Ayodhya and hurt the sentiments of Ram devotees. Addressing a public gathering, Yogi cautioned the opposition against "testing the patience of Ram devotees," asserting that Ayodhya is a symbol of India's faith, culture, and spiritual heritage.

The Chief Minister alleged that the opposition was attempting to spread misinformation about Ayodhya's development and questioned its commitment to preserving the city's religious and cultural significance. He highlighted the state's infrastructure projects, tourism initiatives, and civic improvements undertaken since the consecration of the Ram Temple, claiming these efforts have transformed Ayodhya into a global spiritual destination.

Yogi also accused previous governments of neglecting Ayodhya and said the current administration is committed to ensuring the city's holistic development while safeguarding its sanctity. His remarks came amid an escalating political exchange with Akhilesh Yadav over governance and development in the temple town.

The Samajwadi Party, however, has criticized the BJP government's handling of civic infrastructure and public services in Ayodhya, arguing that developmental shortcomings should be addressed instead of being politicized. The exchange reflects the intensifying political discourse in Uttar Pradesh ahead of upcoming electoral contests.
