CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: On the second day of the Youth Festival at Barkatullah University, Bhopal, competitions were held in classical solo singing, light solo singing, Indian and Western group singing, rangoli, poster making, collage, extempore, and debate.

As per the rules of the group singing competition, participants were required to perform one folk song and one patriotic song. The topic for the debate competition was “Youth Migration Abroad is Detrimental to the Nation”, in which participants presented various examples and argued their viewpoints both for and against the topic.
The theme for rangoli and collage was Indian culture, while the poster competition was based on the Indian Constitution.

In the group singing (Indian) segment, patriotic songs such as “Mere Watan Humko Teri Kasam” and folk songs like “Ja Luta Denge Hum Kar Kam Mein Denge Tu Hi Mera Sanam”, and “Varna Kai Varni Jo Janm-Janma Mar Jaye” were performed. Solo singing included folk numbers like “Dushmani Ki To Kya Poochiye, Dost Ka Bharosa Nahi”, “Ladiyon Na Saasu Maa Tum Yaaro Kar Lo Vari Jaoon Re”, and “Vande Mataram”.

The presence of Vice-Chancellor S.K. Jain energized both participants and the audience. He emphasized the importance of youth’s versatile talent in social and nation-building.
The entire Youth Festival is being organized under the supervision of the Dean of Student Welfare and coordinated by Proctor and Dean of Student Welfare, Professor Pawan Mishra.
