CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Passenger Coach Rebuilding Workshop (PCRW), Bhopal of West Central Railway has successfully completed the periodic overhauling (POH) of a total of 1,148 coaches during the first eleven months of the current financial year 2025-26 (April to February 2026), marking a remarkable performance.
In February alone, CRWS completed the POH of 115 coaches, showcasing its operational efficiency. These figures represent a commendable achievement relative to the targets set by the Railway Board. Under the continuous supervision of senior officials, the Bhopal workshop management accomplished this success through team spirit and a well-planned work strategy.
During Periodic Overhauling (POH), the following key activities are performed:
Repair of the coach body and undergear to ensure maximum operational safety.
Repair of trolley and all critical parts of the bogie, which are highly important from a safety perspective.
Repair of the air brake system, buffers, and other structural components to provide passengers with a shock-free and safe travel experience.
Maintenance and repair of wheels and axles to strengthen operational safety.
This consistent and thorough maintenance ensures enhanced safety, reliability, and comfort for railway passengers.
