NIFT Bhopal students visit newspaper industry

CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Fashion Communication students from National Institute of Fashion Technology, Bhopal began a new chapter in their academic journey when they visited People's Newspaper Office and Press, Bhopal to get an inside glimpse into the world of the newspaper industry.

With 40 students and 4 teachers from NIFT Bhopal, the main objective of this visit was to enhance the learning and experience under the topic “Publication Design”.

First, the students took a trip to the Press at People's Mall in Bhanpur, where they got to know about the printing process of the newspaper from Shri Sandeep and Shri Rajneesh. The students gained detailed knowledge of the working of printing machines, including various types of newspaper printing.

After this, the students visited the editorial office during which Mr. Vamik explained the process of advertising and marketing strategies to the students.

Editor Mr. Manish Dixit and Mr. Rajeev Agni informed him about the editorial process of the newspaper. There, he got a chance to work in the editorial section of the newspaper and edit various materials.

Kritika Kashyap, a student of Fashion Communication, expressed her interest in newspapers and said, “I did not know before that the newspapers we read are made by sitting overnight.”

This visit to NIFT Bhopal students provides them an opportunity to gain a deeper insight into the working world of the newspaper industry, enabling them to be more successful at the start of their careers.
